The state of Florida is a peninsula which is situated at the bottom of the east coast of the United States. On the state's west coast is the Gulf of Mexico, and on the east coast is the Atlantic Ocean. Space exploration accounts for $4.1 billion and university research makes up $500 million. Other contributors are hospitality, themed attractions, military, and tourism. The state attracts in excess of 87 million visitors per year, contributing $67 billion to its state economy, the largest sector of the growth.
